After School Theater Programs

We’re excited to partner with two local arts non-profits to bring after-school theater to 3rd-8th grade students at EDS. Our long-time partners Starting Arts has been producing professional-quality musicals with EDS students for many years. In Fall 2027, we’re piloting a new Shakespeare in the Woods program with Silicon Valley Shakespeare.
Starting Arts’ mission is to make the arts accessible to all students in the Bay Area, providing instruction in dance, theatre, music and visual arts with programs taught by professional artists.
Silicon Valley Shakespeare invites students to explore Shakespeare’s language, characters, and themes through the lens of their own identities, learning performance fundamentals, while exploring universal themes like power, love, disguise and justice.
